I want to help unload, how does this work?
During our big shipment, we need to upload a couple thousand trees. We need 60+ guys to do this properly on the day of our big shipment.
Safety first - if you don't feel comfortable doing something or a tree is too heavy, ask for help.
What to bring/wear:
Work gloves - insulted work gloves if it's cold out
Work clothes - pants and shirts/jackets that might get snagged or get some sap on them
The ground can be uneven - firm/hiking shoes or boots are safe
Dress for the weather
Can I bring my kids? It is not discouraged. Kids are welcome as long as you don't mind them around chainsaws and open flames.
Do I have to have RSVP'd? No, please come! But an RSVP is appreciated.
What are we going to do?
Some will be on top of the trailers lower trees to people below
Others will take trees, possibly with the help of another person, and put them in the correct pile - typically based on species and size
We will likely tag them with price tags - based on species and size
There might be other random jobs needed to do on the lot to prepare it for opening
